Yes, you can keep your current phone number. During activation, you’ll have the option to port your existing number to TruUniverse.
Will my phone work with TruTalk?

What happens if I run out of data?
If you reach your high-speed data limit, your data speed will be reduced for the rest of the billing cycle, but you won’t lose connection and will still have unlimited talk and text. If you need more high-speed data, you can always log into your account and choose a data package to purchase.
